I would like to play Blue Shift but I noticed that there are two different versions of it for sale on Amazon.com. One is by Vivendi Universal for Windows 2000 / 95 / 98 / NT. The other is by Havas for Windows 98. Other than the fact that the one by Havas is obviously older (and probably slower) are there any other differences? They cost about the same on Amazon.com.

Well I am completly against giving a brand new driver a brand new car, but as far as the car is concerned it is a decent car. Ok, so this recently started happening to me. Say I take a nap, or get up in the morning. When I get up and stand, I feel very lightheaded, weak, and feel like fainting. I black out most of the time too. I also noticed my heart was racing really fast, and I was inside in the ac. I checked my blood sugar this morning and it read 79 (this was before I ate). I asked my mother about it, and she said I could possibly be hypoglycemic, or have really low blood sugar, she asked her friend who is a paramedic and he thinks it's my blood pressure. I haven't seen a doctor yet, but I was wondering if anyone knows what is it. I do eat when I'm supposed to, I don't skip meals, and I'm always drinking something (no, not alcohol). Can 6mm lung nodules be cancerous?

I am worried PET scan might show metastases with my mum even though her oxygen saturation level is 98% and her lungs and chest are ok according to her GP. Her nodule was query 6mm (I say query as CT scans are not accurate) on her follow-up CT scan. It was 4mm on the first scan (could still be) Mum says her lips would be a strange colour if metastases were present and her oxygen saturation level would not be as high as it is if that was the case. My dog doesnt like her bed :(?

I just got a dog yesterday. Her name is Nala, and she's some sort of terrier mutt. She's a little bit bigger than a westie. Last night, i layed out two regular pillows and covered them with a towel. Today i went to petsmart and got her a bed. It's medium size, but im not sure if thats as big as she would like. i put another small pillow by her last night, and she really loved it. her new bed is orthopedic foam, so its bumpy and not that thick on the bottem. i put one of the pilllows i used last night under it, so it would be softer. i also put the towel in the bottem of her bed, because it seemed to comfort her. a few minutes ago she layed in her bed, and looked very comfortable. then she got out and spread out on the floor. i dont want her to have to do that in the middle of the night, because i really want her to be comfortable. i thought about taking the pillow off of it, but she seemed like she wanted it there. i cant buy another bed, i spent all my money on this one, because i thought it would be perfect. i really care about nala and i want her to sleep through the night. does anyone have any ideas that could help her become more comfortable? thanks in advance!!

Disciplining a lovebird?

We've had our lovebird for about a month now. He's about 5 months old. At this point, he's comfortable with coming out of the cage himself, shoulder sitting, and crawling all over us basically. Lately however, we've noticed he's gotten a little feisty with his beak. Now, don't get me wrong I love this show, it is super leftist (which isn't a problem) and sometimes exaggerated but I learned alot. But one thing that I noticed is that whenever they show someone that they consider ghetto or ugly they are always dark with African features i.e thick lipped and wide nosed (think Uncle Ruckus, Colonel Stinkmeaner and the background characters in the Gangsterlicious episode and the Free R. Kelly episode, i.e the big fat black women) opposed to thin lips and pointy nosed . Even for all of Huey's condemnation of the white supremacists power structure it seems the writers behind the show and/or Aaron McGruder seems to buy into all this light skinned white featured look. Why are their family and Tom DuBoise light skinned with white features and are the 'good guys' on the show? and why are the black women on the show that are 'pretty' are considered light skinned? Why aren't they showing the variety of black people and representing us? Why aren't there dark skinned pretty women as well as men who aren't ghetto? I know its just a TV show but you have to be aware of what your watching and taking in. I really don't want to stop watching it, but why is this? Did anybody else notice this? Can we write to them and make them stop? Are they doing this as a way of reaching a broader audience? Its still sellin out. That sh@# doesn't fly with me.

so i like this guy, and our brothers are on the same baseball team. yesterday at the game, he was there. i was standing near the fence watching the game. he was in the dugout, but then he went and sat with his mom. my mom started talking to his mom, and occasionally my mom would ask me questions. i just sort of stood by the fence watching the game and talking to my dad who was the third base coach. im pretty shy, but now i feel bad that i didnt join the conversation and sit with them because my mom said that the guy i like was talking to them. did this ruin all my chances with him? is there any way to fix this? will he think im really weird?

Our Milkyway Galaxy & Local Group?

As you already know our Milkyway Galaxy is spinning and we are in one of it's small arms the Orion Arm or Local Spur, but since it takes the Earth or should I say the Solar System 200,000,000 Million years roughly to circle the Milkyway once isit possible that their is other galaxies in our local group that we dont know about on the other side? Maybe our local group is far larger than we think or Andromeda isn't the largest galaxy in it, but we can not see any of this due to the galactic core & dust blocking our veiw? Or do we know for a fact that our local group is everything we have seen in it right now.

Ivy League Grad school?

I go to McGill and i had a really terrible freshman year academically. Ive straightened that out and Im doing well now. I want to go to medical school but how badly do you think freshman year has hurt my chances of getting into any of the Ivy Leagues? (I know that many excellent schools exist that are not Ivy League Stanford etc but you get the gist of my question..) I participate in extra curricular activities but as far as academics go, have I really effed things up? Have any Ivy Leaguers here come from universities where they had lousy starts? thanks!

Has anyone tried The Linden Method?

Although I have not personally tried the Linden Method, I would caution you to spending your money on it. For ~$177 you could go to a real doctor and talk about it. They also only let you call and email for a year, if you are paying for a "kit" like thing, they should at least let you call for free until you don't need to. It's like buying a laptop but you can only call tech support for a year, what if you have problems after a year? Do you have to buy a new one? I'm sorry but I think that you should try profession help, there is no easy "cure" or answer. This is, of course, just my opinion and again I have not used it and do not know anyone who has. Good luck with everything.

I'm in a messed up situation.. Any advice?

To try to make a long story short me and my girlfriend bought a house together. We have been going out for 5 years. But once we got our house from day 1 her family was trying to move in here or they were asking if we could hold on to there boxes full of carp for them (which he have and still have them, a whole year later). After about 4 months of living in this house her family came to visit 3 times and each time they would visit for 2 full weeks. Then at the 5-6 months of being in this home now the sister needs a place to stay. I was upset because i couldnt even enjoy my own house. So anyway the sisters stayin with us and the only rule i had for her was i dont want anyone in this house that I dont know because I have exspensive items in my house, if I would be there or my girlfriend they she could. So one day I came home from work and she had a guy over fulling around with him. and i think i didnt mention they are both married, so i kick her out. So after all this when my girlfriend and I were trying to make stuff better between us she becomes all of a sudden great friends with this girl at her work. And out of no where she was going to vegas all the time with her friend without me and palm springs without me which I was okay with. I trusted her but the thing that made me break up with her was one day she was suppose to watch a movie with that new best friend of hers and they did and my girlfriend called me saying they were going to go back to her place and hang out, which I was fine with as well. But she told me she wouldnt be drinking and would be home kinda early. So I goto bed at 11 cause I had to wake up early, then all of a sudden I wake up and its 4am and no call from my girlfriend and shes not home. I call her and no answer. 430am rolls by and im still trying to call her when she answers she says she had some drinks and must of just fell alseep. So now my trust with her is not doin so good. So i put a keystroke program on my computer to see if she is talking to some other guy and not even 20 minutes after I put that progame on the computer she gets on.. After she gets off I go check the program n it showed that she was talking to some dude who she use to know a long time ago in grammer school that just happened to be her new best friends friend and on the note he says it was so nice seeing you again and I had fun playin the drinking games with you. we gotta do this again. and my girlfriend wrote back it was so nice seeing you blah blah and yeah we should do it again. and also on the program it shoulds this picture of my girl under someones arm. So I confront her about this and at first shes tells me that yeah that guy wrote her but she didnt write back, which she did, and that other guy that has his arm around her is just her best friends 18year old bro. Im 23 and now I have to deal with all this. I wish I didnt put myself in this situation. Now i have to live in a house with her because both of our names are on the lease, till we can at least sell it for what we got it for. And the thing that makes it even worse for me is that I put down 100% of the money which was about 10,000 so we could get this house is gonne be gone. Im just so upset. I believe that aliens, not necessarily the stereotypical Greys, are helping the elite humans to evolve by providing them with the tools to further ert their dominance over the rest. They give them technology, but I confess I do not know what these aliens would be able to get in return; I don't claim to know their motives. Hi kate, Have you tried tasting it. What you have there is basically a preservative. You could if you really liked the taste try putting 2tablespoons of oil and ont tablespoon of your 'water' in a screw top jar and shaking the bejeeses out of it to mix it but if (and I doubt ) it tasted any good you would have to shake it seconds before you served it and eat like crazy because as we all know oil and water wont mix for long and it will separate. My 6mo Lab/Pitt mix has been on Nutro max since He could eat. He's been fine on it. Only poops twice a day, and its firm and healthy. Should I change him? To BlueBuffalo or something great? My calves were always very slim up to the age of 14 (until I sprained my ankle). During the healing process I walked a certain different way to avoid pain in my foot, and even after my ankle healed- I continued walking the same way. You can use Hester and how she's viewed in society, you can use Pearl, you can use a lot of characters in different ways and it gives you freedom. I received some bulbs from a friend during the holiday season. Two amaryllis and one calla lily..?

Rebooting Trouble?

I have a Dell Desktop, Intel Pentium 4 Processor that runs Windows XP Home Edition (at least it used to). When ever I run it I end up at a menu that says that the computer needs to start in: Safe Mode, Safe Mode w/ networking, Safe Mode Command Prompt, Last Known Configuration, and Start Windows Normally. However, when I choose any one of the options, the computer always ends up in the "Blue Screen of Death." In an attempt to solve this problem I tried repairing windows which I have tried and has not worked. In another attempt I backed up all my files and tried to install a fresh-new version of Windows XP Home Edition. However when I arrive at one part, it states that setup needs to create a folder ( \WINDOWS\system32\spools ) but when ever setup runs it doesnt work (I'm running this from a CD). and the setup program states that it cannot create the cfolder. Anybody have any ideas how I can get back my Windows XP Home ?? Help is greatly appriciated.

What could possibly be wrong with my leg/ankle--I've had edema for about 4 years, now pain?

You could possibly have a DVT in your left ankle. DVT stands for Deep Venous Thrombosis. This clot could have broken off, and lodged further up in the vein. With that being said, the signs and syptoms of that would be localized pain and swelling, that you are presenting with. If that vein is blocked, then you will have venous stasis, "impared blood flow" in the lower left extremety. This will cause blood to pool into the sight of question, and cause pitting edema which you have described. It could be due to an initial injury maybe that you sustained 4 years ago, and exacerbated by the skiiing. Your doctor should perform a venous dopler exam in order to diagnose this. In the mean time you could take aspirin 81 mg, 2 tablets every morning, depending on your age. This will help from platelet aggregation to the thrombosed sight, and help prevent further thrombotic activity to your leg. Only take the aspirin if you are over 18 though, due to risk of Reye's Syndrome. Aspirin at this dosage prevents certain inflammatory chemicals, (i.e prostaglandin's and thromboxane) from working properly to allow platelets to clot together. Your body has a natural anti platelet agent in it that inhibits platelet's from aggregating "sticking together", and it is called prostacycline, or PCI when your Dr. abbreviates it. That natural bodily chemical isn't effected by the aspirin at the dose of 81 mg to 162 mg, but if you dose above 325 mg, then the aspirin starts inhibiting prostacycline, which negates the effect you are needing. The only way that the aspirin will have an advrese event in you is, if you are under 18 and are running a fever, or you have an active gastric or duodenal ulcer, or history of ulcers or GI bleeding. The aspirin might upset your stomach, so take it with food or milk, and that will take care of the upset stomach effect. Good luck, I hope the Dr has good news, and a firm diagnosis for you. He/She should run a set of labs on you during your visit, such as a CMP "comprehensive metabolic profile", a coagulation and hematology panel "this measures hemoglobin, hematocrit, and mean cell volume, as well as your total platelet count. YAY!), but i know the spastic movements are getting less and less by the week. at this point, babies still don't have full control of their movements, but i know they'll figure it out soon. the best way i can think to explain it now is like over correcting in the car. you are slightly in another lane, but whip the wheel to get out as quickly as you can, which makes you swerve into the lane to the other side. that's how his movements are to me...like he's so tired that he punches himself in the eye trying to rub it. he hasn't gotten the "gentle" concept yet. but my neighbor's son is about 8 months older than mine, and he's got it pretty well down (and has for some time). so it won't be too long!

Help, my toe is turning black?

Three days ago I had an ingrown toenail removed. The doctor not only cut out the outside of my big toenail he cauterized the nail bed to hopefully detour my nail growing back. I took my bandage off yesterday and this morning I noticed that it had started to turn black. This hurts worse than any other toe nail I've had cut out and it constantly throbs and now tonight almost half of my toe and toe nail is black and swollen. What should I know about low testosterone levels?

I hav always suspected I have a pituaitary disorders since my endocrine levels are all over the place. Low cortisol, low Dopamine, high renin etc. I have had adrenal testa and kidney scans and all were ruyled out. I also have depression and high blood pressure, sleep apnea and diabetes. My family foctor always blew off the pituitary theory and keps stuffing anti depressants in me. I recently had a vasectomy and testosterone levels prior to the surgey were low and my doctor ordered tests for pituitary and testical dysfunction. I don't know what to do. I am enlisted in the USMC Delayed Entry Program as a senior in high school. I am currently slated for active duty intelligence specialist, as I scored a 92 for my AFQT. My two goals in life so far are to serve in the Marine Corps and go to college. So I applied for the NROTC scholarship. Last week I visited the college that the NROTC scholarship is for, and I really liked the school. Now I don't know what to do. I talked to my recruiter about switching to the reserves so that even if I don't win a scholarship, I can still become a Marine and go to the college that I want. My recruiter says that all of their reserve slots are filled and there is no way that I can do this. He says that he would have to discharge me and then I would have to wait a year before I could MAYBE get back in IF there's a reserve slot available. So I'm stuck. Intel Specialist is what I wanted for active duty, but after looking into this school I think active duty may be a mistake. My recruiter also claims that if I go active duty then when I get out the Marine Corps will pay for all of my college. But is this true even with a private school? I want to go reserves, but then supposedly I'd be discharged. I don't know what to do! Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Let's say you've been accused of something you never said or did by someone. I'm not gonna get into details but I've been accused of something I never said to someone. I asked my parents for advice and my mom said if you react to the situation that's going to make others think you're guilty,when really you aren't and if you know you didn't say it then you should just let the situation go. I understand how the reaction can make the situation seem compromising but to me being accused of something I didn't do by someone makes me feel like an innocent victim who went to jail on fallacious charges and being unable to prove your innocence, since it's your word against theirs.
