I need somewhere NICE to stay in Carlsbad NM Thanks!?

My hubby and i are going there for our anniversary, and i a local could please help me out here. where would you guys recommend we stay. Somewhere clean, somewhere nice, somewhere we wouldn't mind paying for. Also, if you know of any nice restaurants I'd appreciate help with that as well! Thank you.
