Grr... how do i get this stuff off my bird? I NEED YOUR ANSWER NOW!?

my bird flew into a fly trap, its very sticky. i got some of it off by using some veggie oil but there still some left and i cant get it off. its starting to preen it and im worried it may get sick from inhaling the glue stuff. i need to know of some ways to get it off
