Are Alien "Greys" helping us to evolve?

I believe that aliens, not necessarily the stereotypical Greys, are helping the elite humans to evolve by providing them with the tools to further ert their dominance over the rest. They give them technology, but I confess I do not know what these aliens would be able to get in return; I don't claim to know their motives. But if you think about it, these are rather meek aliens, or perhaps just very patient, as they have not eradicated us entirely, as I'm sure they could/could have if they so desired. That they're working with us rather than subjugating us outright says something. What that something is, I'm not sure.
