Guy problems!! 10 points!?

so i like this guy, and our brothers are on the same baseball team. yesterday at the game, he was there. i was standing near the fence watching the game. he was in the dugout, but then he went and sat with his mom. my mom started talking to his mom, and occasionally my mom would ask me questions. i just sort of stood by the fence watching the game and talking to my dad who was the third base coach. im pretty shy, but now i feel bad that i didnt join the conversation and sit with them because my mom said that the guy i like was talking to them. did this ruin all my chances with him? is there any way to fix this? will he think im really weird?
