Dog rubbed up against a dead sea lion. How soon to test for leptospirosis?

There was a dead sea lion on the beach and my dog ran up and started rubbing her body against it. How soon should I take her to be tested for leptospirosis? I read there is some incubation period before a test would pick it up.
